It was the year 2019 B.C.! Back when there were still very few events hosted by kemono communities on VRChat.
The KEMO CLUB team had a sudden thought.
'VR DJ events...
It's all homo sapiens

If there was an event where furries were the stars,
it'd be the absolute best, right?!'
And so began the great challenge. We infiltrated and analyzed the lighting systems of nightclubs all across Tokyo — from Roppongi to Shibuya — using every connection and goodwill we had, going in as industry professionals!
From there, we built our own systems, assembled a media server and community where DJs and VJs could gather, packed in insanely fun gimmicks, and blasted our favorite music everywhere.
A lot of things happened along the way (lol), but thanks to everyone, we are still surviving at full power today!

KEMOCLUB is a place where you can't stop asking, 'What track is this!?' We want to deliver the joy of encountering genres you've never heard and new artists, rather than just listening to music. The kind of unfamiliar music that makes you instinctively pull out Shazam on the dance floor — that's what we live for.

Visually stunning production that makes you want to take a screenshot, moments that make you want to talk about them on social media — we cherish these deeply. Actually, the hashtag '#kemoclub' wasn't created by us, the organizers; the attendees started using it naturally. Isn't that just the best? We're gonna keep going all out to build a space where that kind of fire keeps spreading.

We're dead serious.
Did you think KEMOCLUB's lighting is automatically synced to the music? Think again. Absolutely not. Every single light cue is manually designed and controlled. We manipulate the space delicately, and sometimes aggressively, in sync with the track's progression. On the audio front, we've built a bespoke broadcasting environment to perform live mixing with real-time adjustments of EQ and compressors. Having a dedicated audio engineer, working hand-in-hand with the lighting designer. Bringing this standard structure of real-world clubs to VRChat is the core of KEMOCLUB's philosophy.
